Wegovy Is Prescription Only
Wegovy (semaglutide) is a Schedule 4 prescription only medicine in South Africa, registered with SAHPRA. It cannot legally be purchased without a valid prescription from a registered SA medical practitioner. We do not supply medication directly.
SAHPRA has issued warnings about substandard and falsified semaglutide and GLP-1 products sold outside the regulated pharmacy chain. Buying semaglutide from overseas online sellers or compounding services is risky and often illegal in South Africa. Only the Novo Nordisk product from a SAPC registered pharmacy is the regulated route.
Not A Cosmetic Treatment
Wegovy is approved for the treatment of chronic weight management in adults and adolescents meeting specific clinical criteria, and for cardiovascular risk reduction in eligible adults. It is not approved or appropriate for cosmetic weight loss in people who do not meet these criteria.
